Chris has been at Global Radio (formerly Capital Radio Group and GCap) for 13 years. He produces the live sessions across all of their radio brands, from Xfm to Classic FM, via Capital, Heart and Choice. In this time, he has recorded over 3000 sessions (averaging 300 each year), both as pre-recorded sessions, and live to air.
With more than a decade working with artists and groups, Chris has developed unique producing skills, which enable him to provide tailored producing and support for each musician.
Each band has their own sound and production techniques which need to be applied to each session. Individual production comes through with each band; with over 300 bands recorded year on year that’s a lot of different mic placement, compression, reverbs...

Producing that many sessions for such a range of bands has lead Chris to take on mixes of live gigs. Experience working on live tours and television shows has given him a thorough understanding of floor and stage setups, and great insight into how to get the best mix from your multitrack.

Being from radio background, Chris is best placed for getting your single mix sounding great for radio. Whether it’s a radio edit or full mix, Chris can advise you on a variety of issues, including mixing to take advantage of on air compression, and up-to-date views from radio Heads of Music and what they’re looking for.
